The heartwood faces display a deep red to reddish-orange colour with long, dark longitudinal streaks running almost the entire length of the piece. The grain is strong and directional, with closely spaced darker lines creating a dramatic striped appearance and considerable visual depth.

One of the most distinctive features of this exact piece is the broad natural transition between the pale sapwood and the intense red heartwood. One face displays a large creamy section beside a sharply defined red band, producing a bold two-tone appearance that would remain highly visible in projects designed to preserve both zones of the wood.

The opposite faces reveal considerably more heartwood, with rich red colouring and dark linear grain extending continuously along the blank.

This is an excellent piece for an artisan who wants to deliberately incorporate the natural heartwood/sapwood boundary into the finished design rather than hide it.

Une pièce unique de Moabi présentant un contraste naturel particulièrement spectaculaire entre le bois de cœur rouge intense et l’aubier crème très clair.

Les faces de bois de cœur affichent une couleur rouge à rouge-orangé profonde, traversée sur presque toute la longueur par de longues lignes longitudinales brun foncé à presque noires. Le fil est très marqué et donne à la pièce un aspect fortement ligné ainsi qu’une belle profondeur visuelle.

L’une des caractéristiques les plus remarquables de cette pièce exacte est la transition naturelle très nette entre l’aubier clair et le cœur rouge. Une face présente une large zone crème accompagnée d’une bande rouge fortement définie, créant un contraste bicolore spectaculaire qui pourrait devenir un élément central du projet fini.

Les autres faces exposent beaucoup davantage le bois de cœur, avec une coloration rouge riche et un grain foncé continu sur toute la longueur.
